About me

My real name is SANG Hokseng. I'm from an average family in Pursat province. I am the only child in my family who has received the highest education. It is all thanks to my parents. I know in my lifetime I can never fully repay the sacrifices they have made for me, but I will always be there to support them whenever they need me.

The name "liiseng" was from my internet name. I think it's cool and sounds nice; it is usually called by most of my university friends. Speaking of university, I studied at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) for 5 years and graduated in 2021, during the COVID period. It was a tough time for everyone, but I made it. Not long after graduation, I started working as an embedded system software engineer at VP.Start, till now.

At VP.Start, I’ve learned a lot, both hard skills and soft skills, from my senior coworkers, management, colleagues across various departments, and many project tasks that were assigned to me. I like learning new things, especially when it spark my interest and curiosity. I think learning is eternal, and time is too precious to be wasted away without gaining something or doing something useful with it.

For the past four years of my career, I’ve grown increasingly confident in my skills. This has motivated me to start creating cool and useful stuff in my free time—not only for fun, but also to share the process with anyone interested, in hope they can learn something from it and inspire them to pursue in the Tech field. That is my primary motivation. Secondly, I want to document my work here so I can look back, reflect on my progress, and see how far I’ve come.

Why did I choose this field? Well, as you can see today, how the technology is evolving rapidly throughout the year—in both hardware and software, and the biggest revolutionary leap we ever witnessed so far is the computers, microchips, and of course, the AI in 2023. All these innovations lie in electronics. without hardware, there is no software, no AI; without chips, there is no hardware for computation to run the software, it simple as that ;).

I believe what I do, even a small fraction, will help inspire more of our young engineers to dive more into Technology and shape the future of Innovation for our country and maybe the world? Right now, it's so easy to access tools and information, you can literally learn anything from YouTube, Websites, and of course, from the AI itself—I think there should be no barriers or excuses to prevent you from learning and growing except you, yourself. The more skilled and knowledgeable people we have, the stronger our nation becomes. Let us harness that power to develop our country to the next level.

The weak will always be stepped on; the only way to change that is to become stronger!
